I’m so excited to be able to finally share these! Amber, her mom, and I went out on a beautiful spring evening to do some bridal portraits and had a great time. Amber looked really beautiful and did a great job in front of the camera!

WOW

Sarah + Ryan’s wedding was an all-around great time! I am so grateful I got to be a part of their special day. Sarah is full of life and spunk, while Ryan is quiet and steady; in other words, a perfect match! It was so fun to see how excited they were and how much they loved each other. Despite the intense heat, Sarah picked up right where we left off with her bridal portraits and busted out the stylin’! Ryan insisted he was no good in front of the camera but he was sandbagging because he did an amazing job. I had a ton of fun doing portraits with them, especially since it cooled off dramatically by the time we got around to them.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Grace Covenant Church on South Blvd, and we moved next door to the Pewter Rose for the reception. I once again had the pleasure of having Vanessa Schrotenboer along as my assitant/second shooter, and I really enjoyed working with Heather from Graceful Host for the first time! Let me tell you, having a wedding planner running the whole day was an amazing experience. I couldn’t recommend a wedding planner more highly!

Love Sarah’s style!

WOW…I love this one

Sarah + Ryan gave each other gifts before the ceremony. The best man delivered Ryan’s gift to Sarah and the maid of honor delivered Sarah’s gift to Ryan. They were both a big hit!

Vanessa had this idea and Sarah + Ryan made it happen…great style!

Leaving on the Lynx train was awesome!

Congratulations to Sarah + Ryan! Thanks so much for letting me capture your special day!
Sarah + Ryan’s wedding last night was tons of fun!

I was so privileged to be a part of Laura + Dan’s wedding! The whole day was a true celebration. It seemed to me that everyone thought their wedding was a long time coming, and there was much joy as they came together to join their lives. It was really fun watching Dan get excited about taking pictures! Typically pictures are “take it or leave it” for the groom, but not so with Dan! We had a great time taking them around the Ballantyne Resort looking for portrait locations. The reception at Ballantyne Country Club was beautiful, especially the flowers. I’ve really been noticing the flowers more at weddings and these were really nice! Once again I had the privilege of having Vanessa Schrotenboer along as my second shooter and I loved having her unique perspective as part of the visual story. Congratulations to Laura + Dan!

I loved all the details at the reception!

Laura asked for a huge group shot of everyone at the reception and it turned out to be really fun!

Great time with Laura+Dan yesterday!

Amber+Joel are such an amazing couple and I am so happy for them to finally be married! They booked with me way back in March of last year, so we had a lot of time to get to know each other on Facebook and during our engagement session and bridal session (coming soon to the blog). I even got to play pickup basketball with Joel once! As a result I really consider both of them friends and so it was extra special to be a part of their wedding! Plus, they know exactly what to do in front of the camera! I’ve really enjoyed working with them.
The ceremony was held at the beaufitul Omwake-Dearborn Chapel on the campus of Catawba College with the reception at the nearby Salisbury Historic Train Depot. There was much emotion and celebrating, and it was a great joy to see Amber+Joel come together as one.

Many congratulations to Amber + Joel!
Super fun wedding on Saturday!

Caitlin+Curtis are such a fabulous couple! Their generosity and kindness was evident as people toasted them at their reception. I was privileged to be a part of their wedding day! I’m really happy with all of the pictures; here are a few of my favorites.

Congratulations to Caitlin+Curtis!
I had a great time at Caitlin + Curtis’s wedding on Saturday! Here’s a quick preview…

Ever have that feeling that you’re a witness to something truly special, and you need to just take a moment to pause and enjoy it? When Laura + Brent had their first look before the ceremony this feeling was overwhelming. They were engaged for a year and a half, separated by school in different cities, and you could just feel the frustration of waiting and separation melt away when Laura came up behind Brent and they shared their first moment together on their wedding day. Usually I’m buzzing around shooting continuously, but this time I had to just pause for a minute…step away…enjoy seeing them enjoy each other. It was epic! A beautiful day, a beautiful couple, a beautiful wedding…what more could you ask for?
